I would like to say thank you very much for all your support and praise. If it wasn't for the GREAT citizens of the great state of Oklahoma, I wouldn't know what I would do. Keep the home fires burning. ~~SGT ------ ARMY, Mounds, Okla.
My Soldiers and I just recieved your 'Operation Gratitude' care packages. I can't explain how grateful we all are and how it changed our Christmas. We were in the middle of moving from one camp to another. We arrived here on Dec. 22 and had absolutley no communications during Christmas day to call back home. but on Christmas Eve, my soldiers received your care packages and they all had a smile from ear to ear. I could see that the packages made their Christmas complete. The items you pack in there are above and beyond. To all of you at Operation Gratitude on behalf of my unit, I want to Thank You for everything you do for us. You keep us going and give us the reason and purpose of why we are here: to fight for the freedom of great Americans like all of you at Operation Gratitude. ~~Sergeant First Class J.M.
I would first like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve this great country. I would like to thank my parents Jeff and Lucy Richards from Dalton, OH. I would like to thank my wife and children in California. I would finally like to thank all of you who care and take time out of your busy schedule to support our troops and sailors especially during the holiday period as we spend it away from our loved ones. Please take time to think about us out here on the waters. ~~Michael Jeffrey ------ Operation Specialist Chief, US Navy, Cleveland

Letter sent to homefront group (Soldiers' Mothers): I can't begin to express my gratitude for your sending all of those gifts to us this year. We received them all and have spent the last two days getting them out to the companies for their parties next week. We will be getting pictures for you. I am rolling out tomorrow to spend Christmas with a part of my unit that is away from the headquarters. The bathtub box was wonderful! You don't know how long I have been wanting that exact book, but haven't gotten it for one reason or another. It was truly a soldier's wish come true. Thank you--the comic books were wonderful as well. I am taking some with me on my trip this week. I hope to have some time to rest. The commander mentioned 'A Soldier's Wish List' today during a Radio Interview back with the American Radio in Germany. He is very excited. Thank you again for all of the work that you've done. I can't wait to send you some pictures. We are excited that everybody will get a present this year. ~~Chaplain Keith ------/Army
I just opened my final Chistmas boxes and they were from the wonderful folks at HomefrontHugsUSA. I want to express my appreciation for taking time to handwrite so many cards and letters. It means very much to us in Afghanistan to know there are those back home who care and support us. Though I am unable to list everyone from whom I received a letter or card, I want to list a few so that you know your letter reached its destination. Thank you Ms. Ellen Woods, Ms. Ann Lynn, Ms. Margaret Lynn, Bili and Lee Klein and Ms. Donna Arnold. Thank you so much and I hope you have a warm and safe holidays.
